Except, maybe, Nate DiMeo. He runs The Memory Palace, a podcast that’s really distilled storytelling, a travel through memories, places, people, events. In terms of style, he and Roman Mars seem to shop at the same store: there’s a lot to like about the way he speaks, and takes you through the things he wants to share.
Go. Check it out. If you’re a writer, there’s a lot to learn from his style, how to pack emotion and content into small bytes of sound eked out in the small spaces allowed in your average listener’s attention span, packed into a slice that you can carry on your iPod. I wanted to cry over Guinea Pigs, root for the man who gets up in Shadowboxing.
